Its simple to measure the surface temperature of a grill grate, then switch to probe mode to measure the internal temperature of meat. IR technology and a 1.8mm stainless steel probe design allow quick and accurate readings in either mode.

In IR mode, the 5:1 distance to target ratio provides safety when measuring extremely hot surfaces. The Scan and Hold function helps you hone in on specific areas by holding the measurement button to scan an area then releasing when youve identified a specific spot.
